This session will assist educators to improve their understanding of WHS legal requirements, in particular, risk management. It will assist participants to establish their own systematic approach to managing WHS issues relevant to their early learning workplace.
An overview of current WHS legislative responsibilities will be provided as well as information about the elements of a simple WHS management system; risk management; safe work procedures; reporting and investigating hazards and risk controls.
